What is the best template for backlink outreach?

An effective backlink outreach email is the key to a good link building campaign. The best template is one in which the point is personalized and, at a minimum, gives a clear value proposition to the recipient. Here is the template that I would like you to use.

Subject Line: [Personalized and Attention-Grabbing]

Greeting: [Recipient’s Name]

Personal introduction of your name and what you do, or position at your company/website: “My name is [Your Name], a [Your Position] at [Your Company/Website]. I recently read your article about [Topic/Article Title], and in so doing, really found it quite informative, more particularly on [mention that special part or point].”

Be specific in what you like and relate it back to your business:I really liked [specific feature], it became obvious that you actually put a lot of thought into your message.

Below is an article pitch example or guest post for submission, along with a sample of content that would be the best fit for the blog you’re pitching.

The following ask:I think it’s relevant and would want your readers to see it as a possible link in your article. Would you mind taking a look at it, and maybe be able to link to it from the post?

Value Offered in Return: “Could possibly share your article across our social media network and possibly add some extra exposure to your content.
Closing: “Thank you, and I do apologize for taking any of your time about this matter, which I know is just what most people call a “small thing.””

Sign-Off: Looking forward to potentially collaborating with you!

Best regards,

[Your Name]

[Your Position]

[Your Company/Website]

Key Points to Remember

  • Personalization: Always personalize your emails. Use the recipient’s name and reference their work specifically.
  • Brevity and Clarity: Keep the email concise and to the point. Clearly state the purpose of your outreach.
  • Value Proposition: Highlight what’s in it for them. Why should they consider your content
  • Professionalism and Courtesy: Maintain a professional and polite tone throughout the email.
  • Follow-Up: If you don’t hear back, a polite follow-up after a week or two can be effective. However, avoid being pushy. And canny definition just ensures that whatever outreach campaign you are running right now, at the bedrock of its success lies in the quality of the content that you are offering the recipient. It must be very relevant, useful, and align well with their audience and the niche.
